We have now been awarded our 3rd rosette by the AA. We serve our fine dine, a la carte menu Tuesday to Saturday evenings only. At lunch time our menu is our bar menu and we now offer a three course lunch at £14.95 for those with a smaller appetite.
Our main Restaurant, and the more intimate Wye Room offer delicious food in peaceful surroundings for a leisurely lunch or dinner with views onto the garden. Head Chef, Dan Smith, has developed a mouth watering menu using wherever possible delicious local ingredients, and our wine list features a wide range of wines from around the world.

You can appreciate just how much skill, creativity, great ingredients and above all passion went into everything that emerged from the Peacock’s kitchen

The Wye and Derwent rooms can be taken as private dining rooms for business entertaining or private parties from 4 to 20 guests. You can choose from our a la carte menu or consult with us to design your very own personalised menu. Whichever room you choose, and for whatever the occasion, we want you relax and entertain your guests in the privacy of your own dining room.

Relax and unwind by the open fire of our charming bar with a pint of real ale, a glass of champagne, or choose from our wine list or cocktail menu. Our bar menu has a choice of simple but delicious food, or you can choose from our full restaurant menu to enjoy fine dining in more casual surroundings - ideal after a day's fishing.

Clearly a lot of effort goes into the cooking and also the presentation. The wild salmon starter was a triumph of presentation as well as flavor. The plate was covered with a dome and removed by the waiter releasing a swirl of applewood smoke into the air in a touch of theatre.

Main course of lamb: juicy pink loin, and cumin scented kofta, is lifted to new heights by the musky sweetness of figs, with baby turnips, mash and meaty jus.
