Buxton Opera House

Buxton Opera House was designed and built in 1903 by Frank Matcham, one of Britain's finest theatre architects. The Opera House stands in 25 acres of ornamental gardens in the heart of Buxton, which is on the fringes of Derbyshire's Peak District. The theatre prides itself on presenting a high quality programme of theatre, dance, opera and music which is diverse and as accessible to all sectors of the community as possible.
