The Peacock at Rowsley is a small luxury hotel located in the famous Peak District in the heart of England, and conveniently close to the major towns of Chesterfield, Sheffield, Manchester, Nottingham and Derby.
Owned by Lord Edward Manners, owner of nearby Haddon Hall, the hotel has been refurbished throughout and styled by award winning designer India Mahdavi.
Our 16 comfortable en suite bedrooms are luxuriously furnished with antique furniture, crisp white sheets and the finest fabrics sourced from London, Paris, New York and Milan.
Dan Smith, Head Chef, worked with Tom Aikens in London and has since returned to Derbyshire. He has prepared and designed tantalising menus for our restaurant and bar, using, wherever possible, locally sourced ingredients. We have just recently been awarded our 3rd rosette for food by the AA.
The Peacock is famed for its seven miles of fly fishing on the Rivers Wye and Derwent where anglers come from all over the world to fish for rare wild rainbow trout and our unique strain of brown trout. We are also ideally located for visiting nearby Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House.
We aim to provide a relaxed and comfortable experience whether you are coming for a weekend in the country, a special occasion, or just to eat and drink.
We have lots of information on walking, cycling, local attractions and you benefit with a 50% discount to Haddon Hall and 10% discount to Chatworth House.
We very much look forward to welcoming you to The Peacock.
