The Peacock at Rowlsey The Peacock at Rowlsey Bed and Breakfast in the Peak District Restaraunt and Bar Derbyshire Derbyshire Hotel

Luxury Accommodation in the Derbyshire Dales, Peak District

The Peacock at Rowsley is a small luxury hotel located in the famous Peak District in the heart of England, and conveniently close to the major towns of Chesterfield, Sheffield, Manchester, Nottingham and Derby.

Owned by Lord Edward Manners, owner of nearby Haddon Hall, the hotel has been refurbished throughout and styled by award winning designer India Mahdavi.

Our 14 comfortable en suite bedrooms and one suite are luxuriously furnished with antique furniture, crisp white sheets and the finest fabrics sourced from London, Paris, New York and Milan.  We are an Inspector's Choice 3 red star hotel.

Dan Smith, Head Chef, worked with Tom Aikens in London and has since returned to Derbyshire. He has prepared and designed tantalising menus for our restaurant and bar, using, wherever possible, locally sourced ingredients. We have been awarded 3 rosettes for food by the AA.

Located in the beautiful Derbyshire Dales our hotel is perfect for those walks to Chatsworth or Bakewell and if you enjoy cycling we have many easy and difficult routes for you to explore, we even have lock up garages for your bikes or if you would like to hire bikes we have arranged 20% discount on cycle hire at Hassop Station.

The Peacock is a very special place indeed and the perfect romantic getaway. This was our first time visiting as a couple and we were blown away by its rustic charm, homely luxury and most of all, the friendly and helpful staff
